...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM EDT TUESDAY 
FOR EAST CENTRAL COLUMBIA AND CENTRAL RICHMOND COUNTIES...

At 1115 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have 
fallen. Additional light to moderate rainfall is moving through the 
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Augusta Metro Area, Fort Gordon, Martinez

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 193 and 199.
Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 11.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a 
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.

Flooded roadways are nearly impossible to see at night. Avoid 
traveling in this area. Turn around, don't drown.
