...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN FILLMORE AND SOUTHERN HOUSTON COUNTIES...

At 1259 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5
and 7.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1
to 2 inches are possible in the warned area over the next several
hours. Flooding is already occurring. Additional heavy rainfall
expected over the several hours may exacerbate ongoing flooding,
creating life-threatening conditions.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Caledonia, Spring Grove, Mabel, Brownsville, Canton, Wilmington,
  Reno, Newburg, Yucatan, Sheldon, Black Hammer, Eitzen, Willington
  Grove, Beaver Creek Valley State Park, Dun Romin Park Campground,
  County 16 And 4 Corners Drive, County 14 And White Tail Road,
  Riceford, Highway 44 And Sanden Road and Newhouse.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
