* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Simpson County in central Mississippi...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 506 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain in Mendenhall. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour.
  Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Magee, Mendenhall and Sanatorium.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Until 615 PM MST.

* At 318 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen, including 2 inches of rain
  along Highway 286 at Altar Wash. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of Central Pima County along and near Highway
  286 between Three Points and Arivaca Road.

This includes Route 286 between mile markers 22 and 34.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Saucito Wash, Fresno Wash, Brown Wash, Altar Wash, Banner Wash and
  Cerro Prieto Wash.
