For the following areas...

Nearshore and open waters of Lake Huron from Presque Isle

Light to Alabaster...



At 1225 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 20 nm east of Black River to 13 nm west of

Harrisville, moving east at 35 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

         suddenly higher waves.



Locations impacted include...

Middle Island, Alpena, Black River, South Point, Greenbush, Thunder

Bay, Sturgeon Point, Harrisville, and Oscoda.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.

  Coastal waters from Cameron LA to High Island TX out 20 NM...



* Until 1245 AM CDT.



* At 1154 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over High Island

  136, or 9 nm northeast of High Island 157, moving northeast at 25

  knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  High Island 22, High Island 136, West Cameron 53, High Island 52,

  Sabine Pass 10, West Cameron 48, and The Mouth Of The Sabine River.
