The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Northeastern Doddridge County in northern West Virginia...

  Central Harrison County in northern West Virginia...



* Until 215 PM EDT.



* At 1108 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain 

  has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are 

  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 

  to begin shortly.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban

           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as

           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Clarksburg, Bridgeport, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Salem, Lumberport, 

  Anmoore, Wolf Summit, Despard, Meadowbrook, Sedalia and Center 

  Point.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR NORTHEASTERN DODDRIDGE AND CENTRAL HARRISON COUNTIES...



At 1124 AM EDT, Emergency management reported flash flooding 

occurring on Washington Avenue and Sheetz on Good Hope Pike in 

Clarksburg. Emergency management also reported water rescue on 

Washington Avenue in Clarksburg. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain 

have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 

possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.
