* Until 145 PM EDT.



* At 1240 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing 

  waterspouts was located 8 miles east of Currituck Beach, moving 

  east southeast at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Currituck Beach.

* At 1242 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from near South Tower to 9 nm west of Currituck Sound,

  moving east at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.

  Duck, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills.

were located along a line extending from South Tower to 6 nm

southwest of Currituck Sound, moving east at 15 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
