  Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 

  NM...



At 629 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located

13 nm southeast of St Simons Island Village, or 15 nm southeast of

St. Simons Island, moving east at 10 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek

safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.



Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs,

move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and

produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone

onboard.
