At 717 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a shower, capable of 

producing winds to around 30 knots and waterspouts. This shower was 

located near Geneva-On-The-Lake, moving northeast at 30 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally 

higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this 

storm passes.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Nearshore and Open waters from Avon Point OH to Ripley NY...



* Until 915 AM EDT.



* At 746 AM EDT, showers producing waterspouts were located along a

  line extending from 6 nm north of Ashtabula to Lorain Harbor,

  moving northeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts.



  SOURCE...Marine weather spotter. At 741 AM, a trained spotter 

           reported a waterspout about 2 miles offshore from 

           Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor OH.  



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas.



* Locations impacted include...

  Geneva-On-The-Lake, Avon Point, Erie, Willowick, Fairport Harbor,

  Ashtabula, Conneaut, and Cleveland.
