  Lake Okeechobee...



At 1223 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,

capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was

located near Pahokee, moving east at 10 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in

case warnings are issued for waterspout development.

* Special Marine Warning for...

  Lake Okeechobee...



* Until 100 AM EDT.



* At 1236 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located near Lake Harbor, moving southeast at 20

  knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Pahokee and Lake Harbor.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.

* At 1142 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 28 miles

  southeast of Pine Springs, moving east at 25 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 

           to roofs, siding, and trees.
