* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM...



* Until 115 AM EDT.



* At 1238 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located over Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, moving

  southeast at 10 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Lighthouse Point, Sea Ranch Lakes, Hillsboro

  Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Deerfield Beach.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
