At 1151 PM MDT, Heavy rainfall over the Vado Arroyo watershed has diminished in intensity. Observed water flow in the arroyo at the I-10 frontage roads is much lower than what was observed in the late July floods, so the danger level has been lowered. Reports indicate that the I-10 frontage road on the east bound side, Las Alturas, may be impassable, but the water remains well below the level of the Interstate and the Stern Drive frontage road. Flooding, though less severe, is still expected to occur in Vado in the lowest lying areas. HAZARD...Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life-threatening flooding of arroyos, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Vado, Del Cerro. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
