* At 302 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 27 nm southwest of

  Wood's Wall West Crack, moving northwest at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher 

           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...



  Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM...



At 348 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located

20 nm southeast of Buoy 44017, moving north at 15 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.
