...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MST THIS 

EVENING FOR MARICOPA COUNTY...



At 858 PM MST, Gauge reports indicate high flows and flooding on 

Indian Bend Wash. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional 

rainfall is expected.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Gauges reported.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, North Mountain Park, 

  Piestewa Peak Park, and Camelback Mountain



This includes the following highways...

	AZ Route 202 between mile markers 1 and 2.

	AZ Route 101 between mile markers 22 and 31.

	AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 205 and 214.

	AZ Route 51 near mile marker 1...and

	between mile markers 10 and 15...and

	between mile markers 2 and 4.

	AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 144 and 148.

	AZ Route 303 near mile marker 139.



This includes the following streams and drainages...

  Indian Bend Wash, Salt River, Cave Creek, Apache Wash, Skunk Creek 

  and New River.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
