The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Coconino County in north central Arizona...



* Until 415 PM MST /515 PM MDT/ Saturday.



* At 1014 AM MST /1114 AM MDT/, stream gauges on the Moenkopi Wash, 

  located just south of Moenkopi, indicate that Flash Flooding is 

  ongoing. Rises of about 6 feet have already noted and further 

  rises are possible, due to widespread rainfall along the drainage.



  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing

           flash flooding.



  SOURCE...Automated stream gauges.



  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams.



This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...

  Moenkopi Wash, Hamblin Wash and Begashibito Wash.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will 

become muddy and impassable.
