...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM MST /515 PM 

MDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR COCONINO COUNTY...



At 1236 PM MST /136 PM MDT/, stream gauges on the Moenkopi Wash, 

located just south of the Village of Moenkopi, indicated levels have 

risen about 9 feet. The wash is in moderate flood stage at that 

point, but the rate of rise is slowing.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Automated stream gauges.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams.



This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...

  Moenkopi Wash, Hamblin Wash and Begashibito Wash.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will 

become muddy and impassable.
