At 1110 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a line of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located over the northern offshore Atlantic waters and northern Mona Passage, moving southeast at 15 to 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency.
