Dense fog is occuring across the coastal waters adjacent to the Central Coast, including nearshore, and will continue through at least late this this morning. Mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable. This marine weather statement may be expanded to the coastal waters to the south if the marine layer is able to form, as dense fog is likely with any low clouds this morning. $$
