  Lake Erie from Ripley to Buffalo Harbor...



At 321 AM EDT, showers and thunderstorms capable of producing 

waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Ripley to 

Erie Basin Marina, moving northeast at 20 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas.



Locations impacted include...

Small Boat Harbor, Van Buren Point, Lake Erie Beach, Barcelona,

Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Ripley, Wanakah,

Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
