The areas affected include...

  Albemarle Sound...



At 109 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These

thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 35 nm west of

Highway 94 Bridge to 19 nm southwest of Edenton, moving northeast at

35 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until these storms pass.

  S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 nm...



* Until 315 AM EST.



* At 138 AM EST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 18 nm west of Highway 94 Bridge to 11 nm west of

  Edenton, moving east at 45 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Albemarle Sound, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, The Center Of The

  Albemarle Sound, Highway 94 Bridge, Bull Bay/scuppernong River,
