...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM CST THIS 

MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN COLLIN, HUNT AND ROCKWALL COUNTIES...



At 633 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 

thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 

and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already 

occurring.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.



IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Dallas, Garland, Rowlett, Wylie, Rockwall, Greenville, Royse City, 

  Heath, Princeton, Fate, Farmersville, Lowry Crossing, West 

  Tawakoni, Quinlan, Caddo Mills, East Tawakoni, Celeste, Campbell, 

  Hawk Cove and Mobile City.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* At 638 AM CST, Heavy rain fell across the warned area earlier this 

  morning and light rain continues. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain 

  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing.
