The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a



* Snow Squall Warning for...

  West central Centre County in central Pennsylvania...

  Central Clearfield County in central Pennsylvania...



* Until 130 PM EST.



* At 1245 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located over S.B.

  Elliot State Park, moving east at 40 mph.



  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 

           blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts 

           greater than 35 mph.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 

           within minutes.



For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the

Dubois and Snow Shoe exits, specifically from mile markers 99 to 140.



Locations impacted include...

DuBois, Clearfield, Woodland, Plymptonville, S.B. Elliot State Park,

Grassflat, Kylertown, Treasure Lake, Clearfield-Lawrence Airport, and

Penn State Dubois.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the

visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.



If traveling on a highway, find the nearest exit or rest area and

park safely away from traffic. Allow snow squalls to pass before

attempting to resume travel.
