The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a



* Snow Squall Warning for...

  Central Centre County in central Pennsylvania...



* Until 1115 PM EST.



* At 1027 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line

  extending from Karthaus to Madisonburg, moving southeast at 30 mph.



  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 

           blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts 

           up to 35 mph.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 

           within minutes.



For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the

Kylertown and Lamar exits, specifically from mile markers 144 to 168.



This includes Interstate 99 near mile marker 85.



Locations impacted include...

Zion, Milesburg, Millheim, Snow Shoe, Clarence, Aaronsburg,

Rebersburg, Moshannon, Coburn, Madisonburg, Bald Eagle State Park,

and Howard.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the

visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.



Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes

your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra

time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead

to accidents.
