* Snow Squall Warning for...

  Central Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia...

  East central Putnam County in western West Virginia...

  Northern Kanawha County in central West Virginia...

  South central Roane County in central West Virginia...

  Southwestern Webster County in northeastern West Virginia...

  Southern Clay County in north central West Virginia...



* Until 130 PM EST.



* At 1231 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line

  extending from near Teays Valley to near Pinch to near

  Camden-On-gauley, moving southeast at 10 mph.



  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 

           blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than 

           one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 

           within minutes.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 21.

 Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 103 and 117.

 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 45 and 47.

 Route 19 between mile markers 41 and 55.



Locations impacted include...

Charleston, Nitro, Summersville, Winfield, Clay, Sissonville,

Eleanor, Clendenin, Poca, Camden-On-gauley, Pinch, Glen, Elkview,

Cross Lanes, Craigsville, Camden On Gauley, Bancroft, Cowen,

Muddlety, and Upper Glade.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes

your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra

time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead

to accidents.

...FOG DEVELOPMENT THIS MORNING CREATING LOW VISIBILITIES...



Fog has developed across the southern panhandle this morning

allowing for reduced visibilities across Clarence and Sumner

Straits. This fog has reduced visibilities to below 2 nautical 

miles and as low as 1/4 nautical miles at times. This fog is

especially reducing visibilities along protected inlets. Fog is 

expected to diminish late this morning.
