Breezes across all of the coastal waters have slackened this afternoon as we have entered a lull between wind surges. However, the next wind surge will be entering the southeast Gulf waters here within the next 1-2 hours and then overspread the remaining waters. Mariners should prepare for a return to strong to near-gale breezes this afternoon. Further freshening of breezes is expected closer to sunset, reaching gale-force. $$
