The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Alenuihaha Channel...

  Big Island Windward Waters...

  Maui County Windward Waters...



* Until 115 AM HST.



* At 1110 PM HST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 33 nm northeast of FAD Buoy Q to 6 nm east of FAD

  Buoy FF, moving northeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  FAD Buoy HO, FAD Buoy M, and FAD Buoy FF.

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding

...A CONVECTIVE LINE OF STORMS APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST...



The areas affected include...

Pt St George to Cape Mendocino 10 to 60 nm...



* At 128 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,

  capable of producing winds to around 40 knots and small hail. These

  strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 59 miles

  southwest of Jack McNamera Field to 37 miles northwest of Trinidad,

  or along a line from 59 miles southwest of Jack McNamera Field to

  36 miles west of Orick, moving northeast at 75 mph. Waterspouts are

  possible with some rotation detected at the surface.



This strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service

office.



Mariners can expect gusty winds, small hail, high waves, dangerous
