...HEAVY SURGES IN NORTH FACING HARBORS THROUGH TONIGHT..



A north-northeast swell from 010 to 030 degrees peaked early this

morning and will gradually decline overnight. This large swell 

will continue to produce hazardous conditions with large breaking

waves at harbor entrances and heavy surges in north facing 

harbors, mainly in Hilo and Kahului. Mariners using these harbors 

should exercise caution when entering or leaving port.
