Hazy conditions have persisted across the nearshore waters into the afternoon with visibility reported around 2-4 NM. With the approaching cold front slowing down and moisture increasing, the risk of dense sea fog tonight is also increasing. Visibility should begin to decline across the bays and nearshore waters early in the evening after sunset. Most areas will initially experience visibility around 2-6 NM, but pockets of dense sea fog to 2 NM or less will also start to form in a few spots were water temperatures are cooler. Patches of dense sea fog are likely to grow in size and intensity as the night progresses with forecast models indicating larger areas of dense sea fog developing by around ~3 AM on Friday.
