Pockets of sea fog continue across the beaches and portions of the lower bays this afternoon. While some drier air may intrude into portions of Galveston bay during the daytime, a wall of dense fog and deep moisture lingers offshore. With winds already shifting east sooner than expected, confidence is growing in deeper moisture returning overnight into early Saturday morning. This should result in patches to areas of fog spreading into the upper bays as the night progresses. Models suggest that this sea fog should start creeping north after sunset, later engulfing the upper portion of Galveston bay near Morgans point by around midnight. Mariners should be prepared for reduced visibility. $$
