A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...



  Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Northerly Island...

  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid

Lake...



At 924 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated a line of thunderstorms, 

capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms 

were located along a line extending from near Winthrop Harbor to 6 

nm northwest of Wilmette Harbor, moving northeast at 35 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek 

safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
