The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Kauai Leeward Waters...

  Kauai Northwest Waters...



* Until 115 AM HST.



* At 1117 PM HST, heavy showers continue to develop over the leeward 

  waters of Kauai and around Niihau. These showers are moving east 

  northeast around 40 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Lehua Rock, FAD Buoy KK, Southern Tip of Niihau, and Kikiaola

  Harbor.

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
