* Special Marine Warning for...

  Kaiwi Channel...

  Maui County Leeward Waters...

  Maui County Windward Waters...

  Oahu Leeward Waters...

  Oahu Windward Waters...



* Until 730 AM HST.



* At 627 AM HST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 10 nm southeast of Hanauma Bay to 15 nm southwest of

  FAD Buoy P, moving northeast at 40 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  FAD Buoy O, Laau Point, FAD Buoy P, FAD Buoy T, Hale O Lono Harbor,

  Mokulua Islands, FAD Buoy MM, and Ilio Point.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding

downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are

wearing life jackets.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
