The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Alenuihaha Channel...

  Maalaea Bay...

  Maui County Leeward Waters...

  Maui County Windward Waters...

  Pailolo Channel...



* Until 1015 AM HST.



* At 908 AM HST, line of strong thunderstorms were located along a 

  line extending extending over Lanai from near Shipwreck Beach to 

  21 nm south of FAD Buoy MC, moving northeast at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Maalaea Harbor, FAD Buoy MC, Manele Harbor, Cape Halawa, FAD Buoy

  LA, Lahaina Harbor, Shipwreck Beach, and FAD Buoy K.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding

downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are

wearing life jackets.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the

open water, stay below deck if possible.

Flash Flood Warning

934 AM HST Sat Mar 21 2026



The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  The island of Molokai in Maui County



* Until 1245 PM HST.



* At 934 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rainfall with rates of 1 to 2 

  inches per hour over southeast Molokai. Local law enforcement 

  reported debris on the road near mile marker 7 on Kamehameha V 

  Highway, and a gage on the Kawela Gulch is showing a rapid rise in 

  water levels. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 

  shortly.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.



  SOURCE...Law enforcement.



  IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,

           properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road

           closures possible in some areas. Landslides are

           possible in steep terrain.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Pukoo, Ualapue, Kamalo, Halawa Valley, Kawela and Kalaupapa 

  National Park.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even 

if they are currently dry.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 1245 PM HST if flooding 

persists.
