  Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the

  Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel...

  Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA...



* Until 1015 AM EDT.



* At 814 AM EDT, a surge of colder air will push south across the 

  lower Bay through 10 am resulting in wind gusts to 35 to 40 kt. 

  Winds will slowly decrease through the afternoon. 



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Marine weather spotter.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.

  Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, New Point Comfort, 1st Island Bay

  Bridge, Latimer Shoal, Plantation Light, Cape Henry, Thimble

  Shoals, Kiptopeke Concrete Ships, Lynnhaven, York Spit Reef, Buoy

  36a, Bluefish Rock, Fishermans Island, The Hump, Cabbage Patch,

Mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to

one nautical mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for

exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the

shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and

consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
