longer pose a significant threat to boaters. A Special Marine 

Warning Remains in effect for portions the Nearshore Waters from 

Gary to Michigan City and nearby Open Waters.

FOR NORTHERN PORTER AND CENTRAL LAKE COUNTIES...



At 1206 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from Portage to Merrillville, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Gary, Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Schererville, Hobart, Crown

Point, Chesterton, Cedar Lake, Griffith, St. John, Lake Station,

Lakes of the Four Seasons, South Haven, Porter, Winfield, New

Chicago, Burns Harbor, Ogden Dunes, Town of Pines, Beverly Shores,

Wheeler, and Dune Acres.
