* At 434 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 7 miles south of Mountain Grove to 16 miles

  northeast of Gainesville to 6 miles north of Fawn Park, moving east

  at 40 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

TORTUGAS ECOLOGICAL RESERVE SOUTH...



The areas affected include...

Straits of Florida from Halfmoon Shoal to 20 nm west of Dry Tortugas

out 60 nm...



At 542 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a

strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.

This thunderstorm was located 10 nm south of Tortugas Ecological

Reserve South. The thunderstorm was nearly stationary.



The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
