...Large area of low clouds and fog through northern inner

channels and Yakutat Bay Monday morning...



A large area of low stratus and fog with visibilities under 1 nm,  

has formed near Yakutat and its harbor this morning. It also 

extends from portions of southern Glacier Bay, the eastern half of

Icy Strait, Northern Lynn Canal as far south as Point Gardner, 

Southern Lynn Canal and Stephen Passage north of Midway Island.

This includes Gastineau Channel, Auke Bay, and northward to 

perhaps just off Eagle Beach north of Juneau. There may some 

breaks in the stratus but is fairly wide spread. Conditions will 

begin to improve as the sun rises higher in sky this morning.
