Lake...



At 758 AM CDT, Doppler radar and surface observations indicated a 

gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots or even 

briefly a bit higher. This gust front was located along a line 

extending from 10 nm northeast of Wilmette Harbor to near Ohare 

Airport to 8 nm southwest of Aurora, moving east at 40 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect an abrupt northwest wind shift as this gust 

front passes.
