The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Northeastern Lincoln County in east central Colorado...



* Until 315 AM MDT.



* At 1220 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain

  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are

  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected

  to begin shortly.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches,

           roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Limon, Hugo, Arriba and Genoa.



This includes the following streams and drainages...

  Big Sandy Creek, Long Creek, Coon Creek, Sevenmile Creek, Hell

  Creek, South Fork Republican River and Dugout Creek.

* Until 330 AM EDT.



* At 247 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast

  of Smithfield, moving northeast at 45 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Smithfield, Wilson, Elm City, Micro, Selma, Kenly, Lucama, Black

  Creek, Sims, and Buckhorn Reservoir.



This includes Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 97.
