FOR EASTERN WILSON AND NEOSHO COUNTIES...



At 115 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Galesburg, or 7

miles southwest of Erie, moving southeast at 30 mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 

         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Chanute, Erie, St. Paul, Thayer, Galesburg, Earlton, Lake Parsons,

South Mound, and Chanute Airport.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Southern Clarion County in west central Pennsylvania...



* Until 530 AM EDT.



* At 228 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain in Route 66 in

  Clarion Township. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the

  past 6 hours. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are

  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring on

  Route 66 in Clarion Township.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

           drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Clarion, Rimersburg, Sligo, Strattanville, Limestone, St.

  Petersburg and Callensburg.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the

dangers of flooding.
