The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Mercer County in west central Ohio...



* Until 700 AM EDT.



* At 309 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain

  across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have

  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible

  in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin

  shortly.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

           drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...

  Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash,

  Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune,

  Chattanooga and Maria Stein.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 0-20 nm...

  Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm...



At 339 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated gusty showers and 

thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. One 

thunderstorm was located 9 nm east of Indian Harbour Beach, or 9 nm 

northeast of Indialantic, moving west at 20 knots. Other showers and 

storms will push onshore Indian River and Saint Lucie counties with 

a period of heavy rain and gusty winds.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.

* Special Marine Warning for...

  Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm...



* Until 430 AM EDT.



* At 345 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Indian

  Harbour Beach, or near Satellite Beach, moving west at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher 

           waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on 

           board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if 

           possible.



* Locations impacted include...

  Eau Gallie, Melbourne, Indian Harbour Beach, Melbourne Village, and

  Satellite Beach.
