NORTHEASTERN GORDON AND SOUTHEASTERN MURRAY COUNTIES...



The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a

threat. Please continue to heed any road closures. Additional showers

and storms will be possible later this afternoon and could pose a

threat for more heavy rainfall.

  Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 

  NM...

  Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60

At 849 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a shower, capable of producing

winds to around 30 knots. This shower was located 16 nm southeast of

Jekyll Island, or 20 nm southeast of St. Simons Island. The shower

was nearly stationary.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.



Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs,

move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and

produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone

onboard.
