A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following 

areas...



  Nearshore and open waters of Lake Huron north of Alabaster...



At 643 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing

winds to around 30 knots. These showers were located along a line

extending from 10 nm southwest of Cheboygan to 16 nm west of White

Stone Point, moving northeast at 35 knots.



Locations impacted include...

Cheboygan, Adams Point, Sturgeon Point, Bois Blanc Island, Black

River, Thunder Bay, Marquette Island, Forty Mile Point, Cordwood

Point, Tawas Bay, Middle Island, Presque Isle Light, Hammond Bay,

Point Nipigon, Au Sable Point, Nine Mile Point, Harrisville, and

Rogers City.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally

higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until

these showers pass.
