...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN FORREST AND EAST CENTRAL LAMAR COUNTIES...

At 1212 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sunrise, or 7
miles southeast of Petal, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Forrest and east central Lamar Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for southeastern
Mississippi.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

CENTRAL LAMAR COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1230 AM CDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.

FOR SOUTHERN PERRY AND WESTERN GREENE COUNTIES...

At 1243 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles southeast of Richton to near Beaumont to 9
miles southwest of McLain, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont and McLain.
