...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY...

At 326 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 
inches of rain have fallen, with over 1" occurring within 15 
minutes. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in 
the warned area. Flash flooding has already been reported in the 
city of Cape Girardeau.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Bollinger Mill State Historic 
  Site, Delta, Gordonville, Dutchtown, Burfordville, Whitewater and 
  Allenville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

EVENING FOR NORTHERN SCOTT COUNTY...

At 327 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have 
fallen. In Chaffee they recorded 1.75" within 25 minutes and 
significant flash flooding has been reported in town. Flash flooding 
is ongoing.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
