A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Coastal Waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and 

  just north of Culebra and Saint John...

  Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada 

  Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM...

  Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...



At 414 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 

over mainly areas of coastal water between east PR and Culebra, 

moving east at 15 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a



* Snow Squall Warning for...

  East central Carbon County in south central Wyoming...



* Until 145 PM MST.



* At 120 PM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located 9 miles west of

  Elk Mountain, or 32 miles east of Rawlins, moving east at 20 mph.



  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 

           blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts 

           greater than 35 mph.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 

           within minutes.



This includes Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 242 and

269.

 

Locations impacted include...

Elk Mountain and Bow River Campground.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are

expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden

* At 144 PM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located near Elk

  Mountain, or 39 miles east of Rawlins, moving east at 20 mph.

           blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts 

           greater than 35 mph.
