The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA including Santa

  Catalina and Anacapa Islands...



* Until 745 PM PST.



* At 619 PM PST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located 7 nm west of Santa Monica Pier, or 7 nm 

  southeast of Malibu. The severe thunderstorm was moving slowly 

  northwestward.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 

           hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Point Dume...

  and Malibu.

  Kauai Channel...

  Kauai Windward Waters...



* Until 530 PM HST.



* At 438 PM HST, a strong thunderstorm was located near FAD Buoy DK,

  or near Anahola, moving southeast at 5 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  FAD Buoy DK, FAD Buoy WK, and FAD Buoy BB.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM PST...



For the following areas...

Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA including Santa

Catalina and Anacapa Islands...



At 643 PM PST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts

was located near Malibu. The severe thunderstorm was nearly

stationary.



HAZARD...Two waterspouts are possible with wind gusts 34 knots or 

         greater, and small hail. One is south of Point Dume and one 

         is south of Malibu. 

         



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
