The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Alenuihaha Channel...

  Big Island Leeward Waters...



* Until 500 AM HST.



* At 255 AM HST, a strong thunderstorm was located 29 nm west of FAD

  Buoy OT, or 38 nm west of Kona International Airport, moving

  southeast at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Honokohau Harbor, Keahole Point, and FAD Buoy F.
