* Until 445 AM CDT.



* At 339 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm west of

  Empire Mica Wreck, moving southwest at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher 

           waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours. Make 

           sure all on board are wearing life jackets.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM MDT EARLY THIS 

MORNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL GUADALUPE AND SOUTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL 

COUNTIES...



At 255 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have ended 

across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain fell in 

about 90 minutes along Mesa del Gato Road, Weller Road, and State 

Road 129 north of Interstate 40. Flash flooding is ongoing or 

expected to begin shortly in the Cuervo Creek drainage basin.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Mainly rural areas of North Central Guadalupe and South Central 

  San Miguel Counties.



This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 59 and 67.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.
