At 901 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of

Dell City, moving southeast at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT THIS 

EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN MIDLAND COUNTY...



At 1040 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicates heavy rain up to 1 inch has 

fallen across the warned area.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Midland, Midland International Air and Space Port, Midland Airpark 

  and Cotton Flat.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
