At 620 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Isolated waterspouts are possible. These thunderstorm were located over the waters surrounding the US Virgin Islands, and across the offshore Caribbean and Atlantic waters, moving west-northwest at 10 knots. Additional thunderstorms are expected to redevelop across these waters through the rest of the morning hours. && PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
